Tablao Flamenco Cordobes presents "Carmen, Carmen, Carmen" at the Flamenco à la Vilette festival

Tablao Flamenco Cordobes is an historical place in Las Ramblas of Barcelona. Since its foundation, all the stars of flamenco Barcelona keep performing at its tablao. Since the very first day of its inauguration, Tablao Cordobes Flamenco Barcelona has insisted on promoting, conserving and preserving the most authentic high quality flamenco Barcelona. Furthermore, it has brought some of its most important productions from its stage in Las Ramblas to theatres and scenarios all over the world, becoming this way also an active promoter of this art.

In 17 May 2013, Tablao Cordobes Flamenco Barcelona brought its show to the “Flamenco a la Vilette” festival with a great success. With the show “Carmen, Carmen, Carmen”, they paid tribute to one of the greatest dancers ever born from flamenco Barcelona, the Catalan Carmen Amaya. Sharing poster with some of the leading figures of the flamenco Barcelona world such as Farruquito, José Mercé, Tomatito or Estrella Morente, Tablao Cordobes Flamenco Barcelona presented its show at the Grande Halle de París, within the framework of the festival motto “Mhytical artist of gipsy flamenco Barcelona”, with great welcome of the audience and critics.

With Pastora Galvan as guest artist, the show also included in its line up artists of the stature of Karime Amaya, niece-granddaughter of Carmen Amaya, David Cerreduela, who was the guitarist of the sadly deceased Enrique Morente, or La Tana, who was signed up by the self-same Paco de Lucía, who produced her an album after listening her singing in a bar of Sevilla.
